Dental Elements is a state of the art, friendly dental practice located in the centre of Widnes. All our staff are friendly, motivated, highly skilled and dedicated to providing you the patient with the highest standards of service and treatment at all times.
The Highest of HSE Standards
Dental Elements is fully compliant with the strict cross infection and Health and Safety guidelines as set out by the Department of Health. We constantly keep up to date with the changes that regularly occur within this legislation. We are also fully registered and compliant with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). All our dentists and clinical staff are fully registered with the UK General Dental Council. The surgery itself has been designed with patient access in mind – all aspects of the building are fully accessible and compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act.
Friendly and Professional Staff
We fully understand that the concept of visiting the dentist is not everyone’s favourite experience. That is why our professional and caring team always take the time to listen to each individual and to talk through the various treatment options available. We strive to provide the highest quality care and treatment at all times and to make every patient’s visit a pleasant and comfortable one. We always seek to treat each person at their own individual pace and to explain everything we are doing and why we are doing it. Our philosophy is to treat the person – not just their teeth!
All dental treatment is carried out with the utmost skill and professionalism. We have high confidence in our abilities and always offer at least one year’s guarantee on all treatment we carry out, whether it is NHS or private treatment. If our treatment fails within that time period, we will rectify the situation, even if it means replacing something free of charge.
We pride ourselves on the level of service we offer all our patients. We appreciate that people lead very busy lifestyles and so we always seek to offer appointments at a time suited to the patient. If ever our patients are suffering from a dental emergency, we always offer them an appointment on the same day or the day after. We realise how uncomfortable and potentially embarrassing such situations can be and we therefore want to help resolve them as quickly as possible.
Widnes Town Centre Location
Originally established as Queen’s Avenue Dental Practice in the 1980s, we moved to our current larger location in Widnes town centre in June 2009. This move allowed us to design and construct a brand new, purpose built, state of the art dental practice.
At Dental Elements, we pride ourselves in having one of the highest quality and most easily accessible dental practices in the area. Our patients always compliment us on the clean and luxurious surroundings we provide.

Testimonials
John has now been my dentist for around five years. I've always been most impressed with the work I've received from him. He makes sure he explains everything he's doing in a way that is easy to understand. He also always makes sure I'm involved in any decision making process. I'm a very satisfied patient!
Mr. R, Widnes
The dentists and support staff are all lovely and the surgery itself is always spotlessly clean and welcoming. It's a pleasure to visit!
Mrs. B, Widnes
Jenny is lovely and I'm so happy I found her! I was so nervous of having dental treatment before I came here, but she completely put me at ease. I used to do everything I could to avoid the dentist, but Jenny has totally changed that. Thank you so much!
Mrs. H, Runcorn
Appointments
If you are a current patient of Dental Elements, please call 0151 4247507 to book an appointment.
Please note that at the current time we are unable to accept new NHS patients. However, we do have the capacity to accept new patients on a private basis. Please call us if you wish to book an appointment.
Missed Appointments
Whenever you have an appointment booked with us, we will always endeavour to see you promptly at your allotted appointment time. However, delays do sometimes occur for reasons beyond our control and if we are running late we will always apologise and explain the reason for the delay.
To assist us in running to time, we expect all of our patients to attend their appointments promptly. If you need to cancel your appointment at any time, please note that we require a minimum of 24 hours notice so that your appointment can be offered to someone else.
We do of course understand that emergencies sometimes occur and it may not always be possible to give us this amount of notice. However, if you repeatedly cancel your appointments at short notice or fail to attend them, we will be unable to offer you further appointments.
Fees
NHS FEES
If you are seen as an NHS patient for routine care, you will pay one of three charges, depending on what treatment you require. There are three NHS charge bands:
Band 1: £25.80 covers an examination, diagnosis and advice. If necessary, it also includes X-rays, scaling, and planning for further treatment.
Band 2: £70.70 covers all treatment included in Band 1, plus additional treatment, such as fillings, root canal treatment and removing teeth (extractions).
Band 3: £306.80 covers all treatment included in Bands 1 and 2, plus more complex procedures, such as crowns and dentures.
If you require urgent care, you will pay a Band 1 charge of £25.80. Most urgent treatments can be done in one appointment. Once your urgent course of treatment is complete, you may be advised to make another appointment for a separate course of non-urgent treatment. In this case, the relevant NHS banding charge will apply.
PRIVATE FEES
We do also offer private treatments, for example white fillings in back teeth. If you are interested in having private treatment, you will be provided with a quote beforehand.
